Selecting & Masking
Selections and masking are the most important aspect of Photoshop. Any filter, effect or alteration that can be made begins with a quality selection and mask.
As we continue to review the different types of selection tools in Photoshop it is important that we are using layer masks along with our selections so that we are using non-destructive editing. This means we are easily able to go back and edit any of the work we have done because we have not gotten rid of any part of the image. The selections video can be found below while information on creating masks can be found here.

Assignment 1: Develop a "Melon Monster" using ALL of the pieces provided at least once. Be sure to use layer masks to remove unwanted parts. Finished design should be 11" x 17" with a resolution of 150
